A Canadian Institution Updated for the Whole Family
Canada’s well-known household, hardware and automotive retailer needed to organize their tired retail environments into dynamic spaces that would attract a new important target market. To achieve this, a new space plan was divided into three areas: ‘Living’, ‘Playing’, and ‘Driving’. New supporting visuals and easily merchandised shelving systems – better organized the assortment of products offered by this leading retailer, that had traditionally been known as a men’s store, was now a store for the entire family!
The store that emphasized automotive products and lacked regard for the female shopper had dramatically changed. Aisles were opened up, new and efficient departments created, info pods with large signage were designed to make the shopping experience easy and informative. The new information and product areas within Canadian tire garnered a number of design awards for merchandising, product display and wayfinding!
